John M. Stoltzfus
John Stoltzfus  My roots take me back to Morgantown, Pa where I grew up on a dairy farm. My early faith was nurtured in a close-knit Mennonite community. I grew up in a home where the life of the church and a strong commitment to faith were woven into the fabric of family life. Several service trips abroad during my teenage years expanded my worldview and sparked my interest in missions and church ministry. I attended Eastern Mennonite College from 1990 to 1994 and graduated with a degree in Christian Ministries. My interest in service and experiencing other cultures led me to serve in China for two years with China Educational Exchange, a Mennonite sponsored agency. During those years God continued to transform me by his grace and lead me in the direction pastoral ministry. Upon returning, I entered seminary and graduated in 2000 from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. During my time there, I met my wife Paula, who is also graduate of EMS.  My call to Lombard Mennonite Church came in the midst of a coast-to-coast bike ride in the summer of 2001. That journey taught me among many things a greater trust in the grace and provision of God. "Recently, God has graced our family with the gift of a son, Justin." I hope to continue learning how to lean on the faithfulness of God in all the paths of my life. I am very grateful for the life that God has given me and for the opportunity to serve here at Lombard Mennonite Church. I find this to be a community of faith that is committed to being transformed by the reconciling gospel of peace and to following Christ in all of life. We are all called to be ministers of God's love in this world. Currently Associate Pastor at Lombard Mennonite Church
